2023 Sydney City's Business of the Year in Performing Arts
Brolga Dance Academy is an Aboriginal Dance School and studio established in 2020 based on Gadigal land in Redfern.
In 2023 Brolga Dance Academy was named Sydney City's Business of the Year in Performing Arts. Brolga provides cultural dance instruction, live performances, artistic and cultural expression, and community and cultural connection.

Jodie Choolburra-Welsh, our Founder and Artistic Director, was named the 2023 Sydney City's Local Businessperson of the Year. Jodie is a proud Gamilaroi and Murrawari woman with over 20+ years of experience in the First Nation's arts and culture, media, community, and politics sectors.
