A perfect class to introduce your little superstars to Aboriginal Contemporary dance. In a fun and culturally safe environment, students will explore infused Aboriginal and contemporary dance styles to create storytelling. They will also develop the skills and techniques tailored to their age group.

Students will explore, develop and enhance Aboriginal culture, language and movements as we fuse contemporary and Aboriginal dance styles to create unique storytelling through body movement. This class will provide the foundations for technique, and skills towards performance and development.

Step into a deeper connection with culture, community, and self through our Aboriginal Cultural Dance Class — open to people of all backgrounds and experience levels.
Led by Aboriginal instructors, this class blends traditional and contemporary dance to share cultural stories, honour ancestors, and connect with Country. Through rhythm and movement, participants experience the power of Aboriginal dance as a living form of storytelling and cultural expression.
All are welcome in this inclusive, respectful space — where every step carries meaning.

Immerse yourself in culture through traditional dance with Gamilaroi dancers Tommy Dahlstrom and Sissy Bell.
Learn traditional movements, how to mimic animals, share in traditional storytelling, song, dance and language.

The Brolga Elite is our representative team and is intense skills transfer and career and professional development program. Participants will develop and enhance their dance skills, confidence, techniques, balance and strength, cardiovascular health, cultural and spiritual connection, and cognitive performance. It provides a creative outlet to organically grow, create an artist and allowing interpersonal development and cultural expressive motivation, identity and pride. The program is invite only to our dancers aged 12+ years.

The Brolga Elite Program is designed for dedicated dancers who wish to deepen their skills, knowledge, and appreciation of First Nation dance forms. This intensive program offers a unique opportunity to train under experienced instructors who are deeply connected to Aboriginal culture and tradition, offering professional development and career pathway opportunities. Participants for the Elite program must be 12+ years old and are selected from an annual audition process.
Participants receive comprehensive instruction in a variety of traditional and contemporary Aboriginal dance styles. Our curriculum focuses on technique, performance, and cultural storytelling, allowing dancers to refine their artistry and elevate their performance levels.
The program goes beyond dance instruction by integrating cultural education and workshops. Students engage in discussions and practices about Indigenous history, language, lore, and traditions, cultural exchange opportunities visiting regional communities and country, fostering a holistic understanding of the cultural significance of their art.
Elite dancers will have the chance to showcase their skills through various corportate, community, private, community and presitage events, festivals, and showcases. These opportunities not only build confidence and stage presence but also enable participants to share their cultural heritage with a wider audience.
